The following
visit could well be to the headquarters
of the local government, located in the
majestic palace of the duques of Medinaceli.
Next we will stop at the Municipal Archaeological
and Ethnological Museum.
After having observed the Hospital’s
neoclassic elements, let’s relax with
a long but pleasant walk along Paseo Sopeña,
around the Estrella hill, where the remains
of a medieval fortress built on an Arab
citadel are located. Another possibility
to enjoy a moment of peacefulness could
be to get away from it all by walking along
the Botánico Pau bower.
Visitors will not host any doubt as to
why Segorbe is part of the so-called “journey
along water springs” as soon as they
come to the Provincias or Cincuenta Caños
fountains or a little bit further away,
between Segorbe and Navajas, the large Esperanza
springs. Finally, one of Segorbe’s
indisputable charms is its craftsmanship,
mainly pottery and walking stick manufacturing.
Water monument
to fun and the arts
Segóbriga Park is the first inland
water park in the province of Castellón.
Its premises are packed with attractions
for all ages: water areas communicated by
bridges, jacuzzi, slides, a gift shop, a
restaurant, etc. Yet the main difference
between it and other water parks is the
setting of the entire theme park in keeping
with Segorbe’s most noteworthy architectural
elements.
Festivities
of Tourist Interest
A monument symbolic to the arrival of bulls
and horses offers us several clues as to
why this festivity has been declared of
Tourist Interest, held from the 6th to the
12th of September after the patron festivities
week in honour of the Virgen de Cueva Santa,
Loreto and Esperanza.
